I got my first response from one of my beta-testers for The Cherth Campaign, so I've been taking a break from working on Archipelago to fix those errors.  I've also been trying to come up with a condensed version of the large castle graphic, because I only have two town entrances left and I needed three for the old graphic.  I think the one I've ended up with looks pretty good.
Also, I've been messing around with making some edited conversation dialog images, and it's coming pretty well. I've got a huge custom graphics sheet, including an all new floor and wall set, and I doubt I'll even end up using half of them in Archipelago.  But if I ever need them in future, I'll know where to find them. ;-)

~*Tornac*~ is making good progress on her first scenario, and ZeroPointEngery is coming along well on his second.  I'm hoping to have the kinks out of The Cherth Campaign in time for a Feb. 1 release.

I don't know what the problem was, but I couldn't get Weebly to load the past few days, so I wasn't able to post at all.  Until now...

I've been working on Archipelago quite a bit, but it looks like I'm going to need to re-design two of the major towns due to special node limitations.  With such a daunting task ahead, I also picked up the demo of Geneforge from the Spiderweb website for some non-exile related playing.  I hadn't tried it before, and It's actually really good.  I think I'll have to buy the trilogy bundle here soon.  It's way better than Avernum.

ZeroPointEngery is making good progress on his second scenario.  It may even be ready within a week or two.

And, of course, I'm still accepting beta testers for The Cherth Campaign.  Email me at [email protected].

Well, Zero Point* got a great review at Shadow vale.  It's exactly what it deserved, in my opinion.
I'm still looking for beta testers for The Cherth Campaign, so far I have exactly two.
ZeroPointEngery [sic] has begun working on his second scenario, a comparatively serious one.

Completely unrelated, but I was looking around on the internet and Al Stewart is apparently still doing concerts.  I prefer the old versions of his songs, but I think it's great that he's still around.  Now I'll have to go look up Gordon Lightfoot...  ;-)

I just posted a scenario by one of my friends.  It's his first attempt, and I probably wouldn't recommend it, although it does provide a slight amount of entertainment.  It is called "Zero Point*" (Written by ZeroPointEngery [sic]) and is available for download under the "Other Scenarios" tab.  Please direct all comments to me at [email protected] and I will forward them to him.  Also, he would appreciate you leaving an honest review of the scenario at the Shadow Vale forum.

In other news, I am still looking for a few more beta testers before I release The Cherth Campaign.  Please email me at [email protected] if you are interested.  I would like you to play the scenario and report to me by January 31, 2009 if you sign up to be a beta tester.  That should be plenty of time, since the scenario is pretty small--1 outdoor section and around 10 towns.

Merry Christmas!

Well, I've never done a blog before.  So, I guess I'll just put a progress report thing.  I just changed the name of my almost-ready scenario from Dragon Quest 1 to the less generic, The Cherth Campaign.  I also added a little mushroom-type graphic-thing to the homepage.  I still haven't found the right header image, so we'll just go with the default for now.

Archipelago is coming along quite well, I've done about 20% of the outdoors and about 40% of the towns associated with those outdoor sections.

I'm also working on a walkthrough for Cherth Campaign while waiting for Jedi Nescioquis to finish testing it.  I could use some more testers, if they'll actually play the thing.  I think I'll post on the forum...
